Gold Panning & Accessory Making Experience at Nishimikawa Gold Park

One of Sado Island’s main attractions is the sparkling sea that surrounds it. We’ve planned some fun ways for you to enjoy the clear blue waters during Earth Celebration. Grab this chance to create great memories out on the water!

Visitors can try their hand at gold panning at the "Gold Park" in Nishimikawa area. Alluvial gold (gold particles found in river beds) is said to have been collected in this area ever since the Heian period (794-1192)! Use the gold you panned to add to a pendant, key chain, or strap and take it back home as a souvenir.
