“Launched in 2023, Earth Beat Project is a journey that transcends cultures to seek grooves that move the entire human race. Kodo will reunite with Korean drum (Janggu) performer Choi Jaechol—guest artist and co-creator of our recent Mountains productions—and percussionist Ben Aylon, returning to EC for the third year in a row to continue this meaningful exchange and collaboration. We will also welcome Aly Ndiaye Rose, Dourfal Ndiaye Rose, and Baye Dame Bou Yaye to the Project, all the way from Senegal—a full circle moment for Kodo and EC, over three decades since Doudou Ndiaye Rose Percussion Orchestra appeared at EC 1992.
