"Miyake-jima Geino Doshi-kai and Kodo first gave a Matsurine (Festival Sound) performance together 15 years ago, which has evolved into a force-of-nature series over the years. We are thrilled to finally bring this collaborative work to the EC main stage! While honoring our traditional roots, we’ll showcase the distinct artistry, movement, and staging of Doshikai and Kodo today—colliding head-on to create a fantastic, celebratory world for one night only. When we hear the word matsuri (festival), we can't sit still. It’s time for us to make some noise! Our motto for tonight’s big bash is "Happy Summer Don Don!" Let’s get loud!"
