"Shiroyama by Night” is back, following a very well-received surprise launch last year! After a bustling day at the festival, head up to Shiroyama Park to wind down with relaxing music and the evening sea breeze. We have two of these cozy, late-night gigs on the lineup this year.

On Sunday night, come and immerse yourself in the melodic tones of the tingklik—a traditional Balinese bamboo xylophone. Koichi Hamada, who runs cafe-restaurant Umigoya on Sado’s Tassha Coast, has been playing the tingklik for over 30 years. He calls people who play the tingklik “Tinkris” and a few of them will join Kodo for this lively set. See you there for a drink and to groove to the sounds of Bali and Japan.

Important Info for Attendees ・Admission may be restricted once the venue reaches capacity. ・You can only enter the venue—Shiroyama Park—on foot, via a steep path up a hill. There will be no vehicle access to the venue. ・Please take extra time and care as you walk up and down the steep path at night, as visibility will be low. ・As this event takes place late at night, please be mindful of local residents on your way to and from the park. Please refrain from speaking loudly or gathering near houses in the vicinity. ・There will not be any drink vendors at the venue. We recommend bringing your own beverages to prevent heatstroke. Please take all trash (including plastic bottles and cans) home with you. ・The performance will be held on flat campground ground rather than a formal stage. Please note that sightlines and acoustics may be limited depending on your location. ・If you are not booked to stay at the campsite, you will be asked to leave promptly after the gig ends
