Everyone starts out as a taiko beginner. Let’s give it a go together, starting with the first beat: DON! For this workshop, experienced taiko players are welcome, too. Come and rediscover the excitement of that very first beat and the pure joy of playing in sync with others. The resonant sound of taiko connects people with ease—of every age, language, and background. By the time the session finishes, we are sure everyone will be taiko friends. Sado Taiko Experience Centre’s cheerful instructor Tomohiro Yonetani (a.k.a Yone) will facilitate this energizing workshop.

・This workshop will be conducted in Japanese and English. ・This workshop venue has a wheelchair accessible restroom. ・Workshop observation is not permitted.

You can take the EC Shuttle Bus* service or make your own way there by car or bike. *EC Shuttle Buses for Workshop & Experience Participants will be operating during the festival. Further details TBA in May on this page.
