[Special Fringe] Big Little Taiko Fest 2025

We’re excited to present Big Little Taiko Fest for the third time at EC 2025. It may be a small stage and a short time, but there’s nothing little about the energy and sound! This year, Kodo will be joined by three taiko teams from Japan and around the world, sharing their unique style and flair. The finale will be a joint performance of Kodo One Earth Music piece “Haruka.” Come along to start the day right, enjoying a showcase of energetic taiko performances at Triangle Park. *We planned to have four teams join Kodo, but only three are able to take part as planned.

Ame no Ato (Canada)
Ame no Ato is a Montreal-based taiko duo founded in 2022. Ame no Ato, means after the rain and was inspired by that sense of reflection, renewal and possibility that can follow a storm. We strive to inspire audiences through an array of traditional and modern taiko styles. Our performances showcase our voice as a duo from humble beginnings during the pandemic, inspired by studies of tradition and techniques with teachers from North America and Japan, to share a little bit of our flavor of Japanese Canadian culture. We are super excited to be participating in this year's 'Little Big Taiko Fest', sharing the stage both in diversity of each group's character and in harmony of our common love for taiko! ▶︎ Website ▶︎ Instagram ▶︎ Facebook

Musashi Seiran Daiko (Japan)
Hello! We are Musashi Seiran Daiko. Our group was formed in 2005 by graduates of Kitaizumi Nursery School in Honjo, Saitama. Today, we have around 60 members, ranging from first graders to adults. As we strive to improve our taiko-playing skills, we are studying the importance of connection, effort, perseverance, and gratitude. The cast for our Big Little Taiko Fest appearance is made up of members who are university students and working adults. We will cherish this once-in-a-lifetime encounter and give this performance our all! ▶︎ Instagram
