It has a waterproof backing, providing you a dry, comfy spot to sit during the Harbour Concerts. These mats were made on Sado Island thanks to a collaboration between two local companies: Yamada Tatami Center in Ryotsu Bay, and clothing manufacturer ulcloworks, which is based on Sado and in Tokyo. The EC Straw Mat is part of the official EC merchandise lineup, so anyone can purchase one. However, Premium Area ticket holders will receive an exclusive accessory with theirs: a fastening band featuring an Ogi tub boat motif. Use it to roll your mat up for easy carrying and storage.
